CVEIM is an educational outreach program of the Colorado Chamber Orchestra.

We are a Vendor for DCSD, providing Elementary Band & Orchestra Instruction.

Ms. Davidson-Stanfill started this program, originally in the Rock Canyon feeder area in 2009, in response to District budget cuts and in response to many people requesting that a band and orchestra program continue. Her program grew to include the Castle View and Chaparral feeder areas in 2010, won the Macaroni Kids Best Music Lessons Award in 2014, expanded to include the Ponderosa, ThunderRidge and Mountain Vista areas in 2016, and won the Macaroni Kids Best Music Lessons Award in 2016, and again in 2019.  The program expands to include the Douglas County HS area this year as well.

Thomas Blomster, Music Director of the Colorado Chamber Orchestra, was happy to include Debbie's program as part of his established non-profit organization because it's completely in-line with his vision for the Chamber Orchestra:

The Colorado Chamber Orchestra (CO) "elevates pride in our state through quality music performance of and for the people of Colorado." Attracting Metro Denver's finest professional musicians, the CCO performs a varied repertoire that's accessible to audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Core to the mission is in-school education that brings a love of music to area youth and expands support for the arts. The CCO believes that music, beautifully played, can transform people's lives.

Thomas Blomster enjoys working with the elementary Band and Orchestra students at the end of the year with our Grand Finale Concerts. He arranges cross-generational tunes, such as "Mission Impossible" and the Beatles "Birthday Song" ("They Say it's Your Birthday!") for a mass garage band/orchestra performance, bringing in a few of the professional members of the Colorado Chamber Orchestra to perform side-by-side with the students.
